SANTORINI GREECE
"Santorini, Greek island in blue and white"
The island takes its present form after sinking the boiler of the enormous volcano. Its capital is the town of Thira and its main port is Acinios. Its soil is mainly volcanic. It is shaped like a crescent and in its inner part, where formerly was the great volcano. To the west it is steep and rocky, emphasizing its great precipice on the sea, whereas to the south it goes slowly descending until the sea, where the beaches of dark sand enchant to the traveler. Grecotour advises to stay to the west, that is to say, near the caldera that, although it does not have beach, has the magic of the landscape and the best atmosphere of the island. Staying in Santorini has for some an additional incentive, and we have numerous small, charming Mediterranean accommodations, with its terrace and views over the famous and named caldera.
In santorini summers are not so hot and partly to this is due to the success of the island. A santorini is reached by plane or by boat, the aero puero is located 8 km from the capital.
MAURITIUS ISLAND
Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) off the southeast coast of the African continent.
Located at the Southwestern tip of the island you will find a fascinating illusion. When viewed from above, a runoff of sand and silt deposits creates the impression of an ‘underwater waterfall’. Satellite views (as seen in the Google Maps screenshots below) are equally dramatic, as an underwater vortex seemingly appears off the coast of this tropical paradise.
In addition to its paradisiac beaches and dream hotels, Mauritius offers the visitor countless activities to make your stay a rich and unforgettable experience.
Mauritius enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures that invite you to enjoy the beach all year round, so any time is good to visit the islands.
